A coat in warm, burnished gold, a winter-white beard, crimson boots and a snow-covered fir. This Father Christmas has the restrained richness of a piece found in a traditional European Christmas market. A softly glittered base and carefully painted face complete the composition. Made in Germany by Ino Schaller in papier-mâché since 1894,it brings warmth and a little ceremony to the mantel.
