Clad in a dramatic black coat with a gilded centre panel, this unusual Father Christmas holds a miniature emerald tree. Flecks of red and green animate his dark coat, while antique-gold glitter gathers at the base. The expressive face and pointed hood give the figure its unmistakable Ino Schaller character. A darker, more theatrical -out of a ballet-Christmas collectable, made in Germany from traditional papier-mâché since 1894.
Approximately 20cm tall.
