Gold, evergreen and winter white give this Father Christmas the richness of an old European Christmas illustration. His softly gilded coat is edged in snowy beading, while a frosted fir with small red berries rises beside him. An old-fashioned bell completes the scene. Made in Germany by Ino Schaller in traditional papier-mâché since 1894, this is a particularly luminous figure for a considered Christmas display.
Approximately 11.5 inches tall (29cm).
